Healing Through Loss: Navigating Grief with Support and Connection
Grief is a deeply personal and often overwhelming experience, bringing waves of sadness, anger, confusion, and even fear. Whether you're mourning the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life transition, grief can leave you feeling unanchored—caught between the pain of what was and the uncertainty of what’s next. The loss of shared dreams and a once-envisioned future can make moving forward feel impossible.
In these moments, it’s common to feel isolated, struggling to make sense of emotions that shift unpredictably.
Grief isn’t just about loss—it can also arise when life takes an unexpected turn. A chronic illness diagnosis, a change in health, or any major shift in circumstances can shake your sense of normalcy, leaving you feeling unsteady, fearful, and overwhelmed. The emotional weight of adjusting to a new reality while preparing for the unknown can feel isolating, making it difficult to find comfort or support.
You don’t have to carry this alone. Grief therapy provides a compassionate space to process emotions, explore unspoken fears, and regain a sense of stability. By deepening emotional awareness and connection, therapy helps you navigate grief in a way that allows sorrow and healing to coexist. Through this process, you’ll build a foundation of emotional security, allowing you to find moments of peace and clarity as you move forward..
Our Approach
Frequently Asked
-
We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Most insurance plans do not cover couples therapy and require a mental health diagnosis, which can impact the length of sessions and our approach to care.
Our work is holistic and client-centered, focusing on you and your relationship as a whole—not just a diagnosis. We also prioritize confidentiality, which can be affected by insurance involvement.
To help with out-of-network costs, we partner with Mentaya, a service that assists clients in getting reimbursed for therapy. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will handle claim submissions and insurance paperwork on your behalf. We can also provide a receipt (superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

The length of time to see progress can vary based on the individual or couple's specific needs and the complexity of the grief. Some clients begin noticing changes after just a few sessions, while others may take several months to fully process and heal. The goal of therapy is to create lasting change at your pace, with support every step of the way.

Grief therapy can be beneficial for both individuals and couples. Whether you're seeking help for personal healing or working through relationship difficulties caused by grief and loss, our approach is tailored to support your unique needs. EFT can help individuals process grief on their own or as part of couples' therapy, fostering deeper emotional understanding and growth.

This depends on your unique needs and circumstances, as every client’s journey is different. Some clients find meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support for a year or more. My goal is never to keep you in therapy longer than necessary, but to meet you where you are, provide transparency, and support you in a way that feels right for you.

Q: Therapy can be expensive—how do I know if it’s worth the investment?
Investing in therapy is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your overall well-being. The benefits extend beyond the therapy room, helping you break unhealthy patterns, improve communication, and build deeper emotional connections. While the cost may feel significant, the long-term value—greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and emotional resilience—often outweighs the expense. Many clients find that the clarity and growth they gain through therapy positively impact multiple areas of their lives, making it one of the most meaningful investments they can make.
