Reignite Connection & Intimacy in Your Relationship
Sexual desire and intimacy naturally shift over time, influenced by life changes such as stress, parenthood, aging, or evolving personal needs. While these changes are normal, they can create feelings of frustration, confusion, or distance between partners. Conversations about intimacy may become uncomfortable, leading to misunderstandings, avoidance, or even conflict.
Maybe sex and intimacy were never openly discussed in your past, making it difficult to express your needs. Perhaps traumatic or hard moments, differing expectations, mismatched desires, or personal values create tension in your relationship. When emotional connection and physical intimacy feel out of sync, it can leave both partners feeling unseen, unwanted, or unsure of how to reconnect.
Sex therapy provides a safe, structured space to explore these concerns without shame or judgment. Together, we work through barriers to intimacy, improve communication, and rebuild a connection that feels secure, fulfilling, and emotionally meaningful.
Our Approach
When intimacy challenges arise, many couples focus on surface-level concerns, hoping that behavioral changes alone will resolve the issue. But lasting change requires deeper understanding. Sex therapy helps uncover the underlying emotions, fears, and unmet needs that may be fueling avoidance, performance pressure, or emotional distance.
Through guided conversations and a supportive therapeutic space, partners can learn to communicate their desires and concerns with clarity, reducing frustration and misunderstanding. Instead of withdrawing or reacting in pain, couples can build new patterns of connection—ones rooted in trust, emotional security, and deeper physical closeness.
By addressing these deeper layers, sex therapy helps couples break free from cycles of disconnection and restore intimacy in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling. Whether navigating desire discrepancies, past wounds, or trust concerns, this process supports partners in rediscovering intimacy, passion, and connection.
Frequently Asked

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Most insurance plans do not cover couples therapy and require a mental health diagnosis, which can impact the length of sessions and our approach to care.
Our work is holistic and client-centered, focusing on you and your relationship as a whole—not just a diagnosis. We also prioritize confidentiality, which can be affected by insurance involvement.
To help with out-of-network costs, we partner with Mentaya, a service that assists clients in getting reimbursed for therapy. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will handle claim submissions and insurance paperwork on your behalf. We can also provide a receipt (superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Sex and intimacy can be difficult topics to discuss, especially if past conversations have led to frustration or avoidance. In therapy, we create a safe, nonjudgmental space where both partners can express their needs, fears, and desires openly. Through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we help couples break free from negative communication cycles, rebuild trust, and develop a deeper emotional and physical connection.

It’s completely normal for one partner to feel uncertain about therapy. Our approach focuses on comfort, understanding, and emotional safety—not pressure. We start where you are, exploring concerns at a pace that feels right for both partners. Many couples find that as trust builds in the therapy space, conversations around intimacy become easier, more open, and more productive.

This depends on your unique needs and circumstances, as every client’s journey is different. Some clients find meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support for a year or more. My goal is never to keep you in therapy longer than necessary, but to meet you where you are, provide transparency, and support you in a way that feels right for you.

Q: Therapy can be expensive—how do I know if it’s worth the investment?
A: Investing in therapy is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your overall well-being. The benefits extend beyond the therapy room, helping you break unhealthy patterns, improve communication, and build deeper emotional connections. While the cost may feel significant, the long-term value—greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and emotional resilience—often outweighs the expense. Many clients find that the clarity and growth they gain through therapy positively impact multiple areas of their lives, making it one of the most meaningful investments they can make.
